   Overview

"Feed my lambs" (John 21:15). With these words Jesus has given instruction to His church. He has entrusted to all Christians the awesome responsibility and exciting privilege of teaching the good news of His plan of salvation to our youth.

It is indeed our privilege to respond to God's unmerited grace and to share in this vital work by supporting Christian education in
  • Our homes

  • Our congregations

                                   ...And our schools

St. John's has been involved in the training of children for over 100 years. St. John's offers education for children ages 5 through 8th grade.

We have recently completed a major building project where we added 2 new classrooms, a new kitchen, new cafeteria, and new gymnasium.

What Do We Have To Offer?

St. John's Lutheran School is a member school of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS)--the second-largest parochial education system in Wisconsin and fourth-largest in the country.  St. John's offers a full curriculum for each child in Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, Music, Art, and Physical Education. Instruction in each subject places God at the center of all learning. According to results of the Metropolitan Achievement Test, students of WELS schools score on average around two grades higher than the national norm.

St. John's Lutheran currently enrolls students in Kindergarten through grade 8.  Ours is a full-day, five-days-a-week program.

St. John's offers many opportunities for the parents to be informed.  A weekly newsletter is sent home with each student which highlights upcoming events and classroom activities, lists opportunities for the children, and sometimes even attempts a bit of humor. Parents also have the opportunity to stay informed via monthly CES (Christian Education Society) meetings. These meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month, and are open not just to school parents and staff, but to all members interested in the development of Christian education in our congregation and community.

St. John's Lutheran has a continually developing technology program. We have a completely Internet wired school. Classrooms average approximately one computer for every four students.

St. John's Lutheran also offers a hot lunch program for our children.  Since our lunch program operates as a satellite server of the Princeton school district, our families are also eligible for federally-funded free and reduced-cost meals.  Those interested should contact lunch coordinator Mrs. Terry Krueger.
